3 Ways To Demonstrate Authority Without Writing Content

One of the major benefits to blogging is that it will demonstrate your depth of understanding on a subject matter. Those blogs with lots of comments and a following further validate trust in opinion.
A well read blog can help a site convert better and increase sales. The downside is that blogging often consumes a lot of time, and in some niches, particularly SEO, it can be extraordinary competitive, making it a lot harder to validate your writing through comments, or subscribers.
For SEOs and companies strapped for time, here are 3 ways to express authority without creating content.
1) Link to your bookmarks. If you have tagged hundreds of articles show it off. Give prospective clients a link to your bookmarks. This bank of information not only gives clients a place to reference SEO info, but validates you are at least well read in the field.
2) Display Social Activeness. Create links to LinkedIn Profiles, MeetUp Groups you attend, or Facebook Groups you have joined. It might also be helpful to include badges from conferences you have attended in the past year.
3) Create a Custom Search Engine. Use Google CSE Creator and then compile a list of blogs that you reference for help. This will demonstrate to clients you can quickly access quality SEO sources for troubleshooting.

Very insightful. I never thought about that. I was wondering how I was going to leverage all those bookmarks and blogs I follow.
Thanks for the tips!
